Oulun Ylioppilasteatteri (a local amateur theatre) does a play version of Ed Wood’s classic movie Plan 9 from Outer Space:

The movie has often been called “the worst movie of all time”, but it doesn’t even reach the IMDB bottom-100 list with it’s score of 3.5 (“best” movie on the list has 3.2).

The play is more than just a dramatization of the movie – the actors play amateur actors (from Turpovaaran harrastelijateatteri) who are doing the play. Original actors in the movie aren’t too good, so it’s quite clever – the actors may be good, or they may be bad actors playing good actors playing bad actors. Some dramatic (read overacting) performances.

It must be fun doing that play, with all the cheesy sci-fi effects and lines. It was also fun to watch, the time passed quickly and it was over too soon.
